Digester additives
Keeping your biogas plant stable, efficient and profitable.

Fermenterhilfsstoffe

Ihre Biogasanlage – stabil, effizient, profitabel.

Want to harness your biogas plant’s full potential?
We draw on decades of experience to support you with in-depth analysis, practical advice and high-quality additives, all from a single source.
Why use digester additives?
Keeping the fermentation process stable and efficient in the long term means maintaining the optimum biology in the fermenter. Our additives are specifically designed to promote microbial activity and ensure consistent gas production, even with varying substrates. The result: long-term plant stability, fewer operational disruptions and a consistently higher gas yield. All products are TRGS-compliant and thus safe to use.

Special products for stable processes

  • novoDYN®: a highly effective trace element mixture including iron hydroxide to stabilise the fermentation process
  • novoDYN® liquid: a trace element mixture in liquid form
  • Reinsalze & Eisenpräparate: targeted supply based on lab analysis

Want to specifically boost the biology in your digester? We’ll be happy to help with analysis, advice and the right products.

novoDYN®

a highly effective trace element mixture for stabilising the fermentation process

Our accredited in-house laboratory ran extensive test series to determine the optimum ratio of the individual trace elements in the fermentation process independently of the feedstock. novoDYN® is the key to supplementing the trace element content in the digester as required and can be dosed flexibly depending on the substrate.

Take advantage of these benefits:

  • not a hazardous substance
  • not classed as a water hazard
  • all-in-one product with iron hydroxide

novoDYN® liquid

liquid trace element mixture for stable digester biology

The liquid counterpart to our proven novoDYN® and pure trace element salts, novoDYN® liquid combines the properties of both products. It ensures the optimum trace element ratio without the addition of iron hydroxide and can therefore be used individually for all types of plants.

Take advantage of these benefits:

  • Emission-free feed-in
  • no stabilisers or additives
  • easy storage thanks to low hazard potential

Pure salts

targeted trace element supply for higher biogas yields

A deficiency in essential trace elements slows down the fermentation process and reduces gas production, especially with varying substrates. Pure salts specifically fill these gaps to optimise microbial activity.

For maximum safety, on request the solution is available with emission-free feed-in via a TRGS 529-compliant sluice.

Take advantage of these benefits:

  • targeted individual dosing
  • can be used as emergency aid or permanent additive
  • enables just-in-time deliveries without storage

Iron preparations

bind sulphur, protect technology, boost biology

High sulphur loads, mainly the result of protein-rich substrates, put a strain on your plant technology. Iron preparations bind excess sulphur in the fermenter, for lower H₂S values, better plant protection and more efficient microbial activity.

Take advantage of these benefits:

  • optimised gas composition
  • prevents damage to plant components
  • available in liquid and solid form depending on the plant configuration

RockAway

reliably stop struvite and safeguard plant performance
Rockaway specifically counteracts crystalline deposits such as struvite. Based on modified phosphonates and polycarboxylic acids, the chemically derived protective agent effectively inhibits crystallisation, thus protecting heat exchangers, pumps and pipes from stubborn deposits. It ensures trouble-free plant operation, permanently and reliably. And it’s already proven in dry fermentation.

The benefits:

  • low investment costs: easy to integrate into plant operation – without major technical effort
  • greater operational reliability: no blockages – maintains free flow and throughput in pipes
  • higher plant availability: fewer maintenance stops and repairs – for reliable continuous operation
